Eurostrut expands: more spacious premises and assembly service

On August 1, director Olav de Swaaf signed the next chapter for Eurostrut. The Schiedam total supplier of cable support systems has rented the adjacent building on Van Heekstraat and is thus expanding its capacity from 1,500m2 to 2,750m2. This gained space not only increases the storage capacity, but also creates more space for a new service; assembly.

De Swaaf: “We are outgrowing ourselves. Over the past 2 years, Eurostrut has made considerable progress in modernizing its work processes and has thus started a period of growth. This growth has resulted in an increase in customers, projects and orders. In order to be able to serve everyone quickly and effectively, we have increased our stock position. In addition, we are getting more and more demand for assembly from our customers.”

New service: assembly

The warehouse space of the new building will provide space for a new service; assembly. “We want to unburden our customers even further with this. The use of prefab strut elements saves our customers a lot of time on site.” For this new service, Eurostrut’s machinery will also be significantly expanded, including a fully automatic band saw, equipped with a laser for very accurate sawing. New employees will be recruited for the assembly in the near future.

More spacious offices

The contraction of the two buildings, which are currently only separated by a few walls, not only increases the storage and work space, but also creates more office space. “In a growing company and a growing package of services, there is also room for a larger staffing, both in the office, in the field and on the shop floor. We think it is important that our employees feel comfortable in their environment and more spacious offices and modern facilities will certainly contribute to this,” says De Swaaf.

Anniversary year

The buildings will be extensively renovated in the near future. “We hope to have this finished as far as possible by the end of November,” says De Swaaf. In any case, for Eurostrut there will be a positive end to 2022; the company celebrates its 20th anniversary in December. “We are entering our anniversary year with a fresh look at the future. In addition, we reflect on the past 20 years in which founders Noël King and Jos van Meurs have laid the foundation on which we can continue to build.”
