CO2 Footprint 2025

Interim CO₂ Reduction Progress in 2025

CO₂ Reduction and Energy Policy

Eurostrut is actively working to reduce its CO₂ emissions. Our goal is to lower emissions by 20% in 2026 compared to the baseline year 2021.

Current energy consumption information: In the first half of 2025, our CO₂ footprint amounted to 30.3 tons of CO₂ (scope 1 and 2). Despite a 50% increase in our facility floor area in 2022, the relative emissions per m² and per FTE have decreased. This demonstrates that our measures are having a positive impact.
Since 2025, we have been using exclusively green electricity generated in the Netherlands, which has nearly eliminated our scope 2 emissions. Only the charging of electric vehicles with non-certified electricity still results in a small amount of CO₂ emissions.

Below is the graph showing the CO₂ footprint for the first six months of 2025.

CO₂ Reduction Targets

Eurostrut aims to emit 20% less CO₂ in 2026 compared to 2021. We measure our progress annually and relate this to our realised revenue.

Our reduction targets are:

  • Scope 1: 20% reduction in 2026 compared to 2021
  • Scope 2: 80% reduction in 2026 compared to 2021

CO₂ Reduction Measures

To achieve this target, we have defined several measures. Below are some key actions that relate to our employees:

  • Adjusting the mobility policy
  • Additional charging stations at the office
  • Regular tyre pressure checks
  • Research into further energy savings
  • Sustainable printing

Sustainable Printing

Our printed materials are produced as standard on (recycled) FSC®-certified paper by a printer specialised in this field.

  • The paper is 100% CO₂-neutral
  • Old ink is reused in the production of sustainable asphalt
  • For every order, trees are planted through Trees for All, including in Costa Rica

In this way, every print order contributes to a more sustainable future.

Progress / Trend

The progress of the CO₂ reduction targets is shown in the graph below. Relative CO₂ emissions have decreased. When we look at consumption per m² or per FTE, we see a significant decline. This decrease is also visible in electricity consumption as a result of our switch to green electricity. This clearly demonstrates that with the right direction from management and the right commitment from our employees, our goals are achievable.

Working Together on Reduction

Every employee can contribute to reducing emissions:

  • Check tyre pressure monthly
  • Drive efficiently and switch off the engine when stationary
