The Eurostrut ESL-B 90° bend is a horizontal bend for the ESL cable ladder, also referred to as a marine ladder, and is used to create directional changes within cable routes. The bend allows controlled routing of cables without interruption of the support structure, maintaining continuous cable support and ventilation. It is applied in utility buildings, industrial installations, machine construction, and marine environments.
The bend is manufactured from cold-formed carbon steel and is standard hot-dip galvanized in accordance with NEN-EN-ISO 1461. The very high zinc coating thickness of approx. 85–120 µm provides enhanced and durable corrosion protection, making the marine ladder bend suitable for long-term use in outdoor environments and industrial or marine conditions with increased corrosion exposure. The cable support system is designed and manufactured in accordance with IEC 61537 / NEN-EN 61537 and is applicable within installations compliant with NEN 1010.
The construction is aligned with the ESL cable ladder system and consists of an open ladder structure with perforated rungs (20 x 8.5 mm) and flat side rails without perforation, ensuring consistent cable support across the full bend radius. The standard bend radius is 150 mm. Connection to straight ladder sections is achieved using splice plates ESL-SC or ESL-VC (not included). The ESL-B bend is fully compatible with the Eurostrut ESL system, including divider plates (ESL-DIV), mounting brackets (ESL-HC), angle bolts (ESL-HB), and fixing sets (ESL-SB, EFS).
